I thought I would start a new feature on the blog... "TPG Reads," a section of the blog devoted to some of my favorite decorating books. Should be helpful if you want to know more about home decorating or if you're looking for a new coffee table book!
"Good Bones, Great Pieces" is a great place to start. The mother-daughter author duo suggest seven pieces that will last you a lifetime, carry you through different homes, and accommodate different uses over time. I like this book because it's organized, it has great pictures for inspiration, and it's simple. The pieces (see photos on cover) are: the love seat, the demilune, the bench, the dresser, the slipper chair, the side table, & the occasional chair. I'll be listing a couple of these pieces soon, so be sure to check back!
Lastly, a tip for buying hardback coffeetable books~ Be sure to check used prices on amazon.com & half.com. You'd be surprised how much money you can save buying a good used copy from these sites! It adds up!
